no time....anyone feel the same?

I just have no time anymore these days, if i'm not at work I am running the kids here or there. If i'm not doing that I am doing homework, after I get done with all that each day it is midnight and I just want to go to bed. I usually can find a few minutes to check my facebook and catch up with what people are doing there. And if I am lucky I have a few minutes to write something.

Zion National Park

What a beautiful place. I spent Wednesday hiking Behunin Canyon. You really cant beat the views we saw. We hiked a part of Zion that only 200 people a year see. It was a difficult hike but so worth it.

Ogden Half Marathon

Shondell and I completed the Ogden half Saturday the 16th. It was a great race, if anyone is interested in a beautiful race Ogden would be the one. We started in a town called Eden, which is up Ogden Canyon. What a beautiful place. Shondell had a friend that ran the race that has a cabin in Eden. She was kind enough to let us stay there Friday night. If you stay in town you have to ride the shuttle bus to the start of the race which means you get up at 4:30am to catch the bus at 5:00am so you can freeze (33 degree's) at the start of the race till 7:00am. We got up at 5:45, hung out for a bit ate a small breakfast and drove to the start. We got there at 6:45just in time to take our warm stuff off and start the race. It was great!!!! Friday night Shondell and I decided that we would run together for the race. She told me that she was excited to finally be able to run with someone so she would have someone to talk to, which I informed her that I don't 'talk' when I run. I listen to music. Sorry sis... We got to the start line where I proceeded to turn my mp3 player on and begin the race. Well not sure what happened next other than it wouldn't start. It would turn on but then the screen said 'failure to load plug in USB cord' well as you know I was standing at the start line and didn't have a computer much less a USB cord. So my sister got her wish she was able to run with someone and talk.. just a little... I have never run without music it was a challenge but I did it. I finished in 1:54. I cut 4 minutes off my best time. I am so glad my sister was there, we pushed each other the entire time. We decided that we are going to run that race every year. Thanks Shondell for a great race...

Where does the time go?

WOW where did this last month go? I guess between my son turning 16, work, school, track and just being a mom I lost track of time. We had a surprise party for Bradley's 16 birthday, it was alto of fun. I will post pictures of that later. Bradley joined the school track team so we have been going to track meets each week. Next week is Region. Carson has been doing good. No sports for him right now, he is holding off for tackle football. Hannah had been busy with school, she is all ready for 1st grade. I am ready for her to be in 1st grade. No more half days. YA!!! I am getting ready for the summer. Remember I am a coach so when school is out so am I. I am plugging away at college. I am finishing my last 2 classes for the semester which will give me 21 credits total. It is warming up here... getting into some perfect climbing and canyoneering weather.

Math Final

My last post was about my Ethics Final in that post I reported that I had passed my Final and was working on my Math Final. Last Friday I received a voicemail from the University that said they were reviewing the passing percent required for the Math Final. They were going to lower it, it was 70% (I guess everyone was having to retake it)they lowered it to 65%. So in my mind I am thinking AWESOME now I can pass because of course I can get at least 65%. The next part of the message was the best. They went back and looked at all the students that had taken the Final this semester and if they received at least a 65% they were not requiring them to retake it. Well I am one of those students. When I took it I got a 69.8% so I now have a pass on my Math Final and the class. What a great feeling... On with my next class.

Ethics Final

Last week was Spring Break for my kids and I. Well Spring Break from my job, but not my school. I was scheduled to take a Final on Tuesday the 17th. So I spent a ton of time studying and preparing for that. Tuesday morning I took the boys fishing, I figured that would give me a few more hours to study. While as I was studying Cody called and reminded me that the last 2 times I had gone in to take my test they couldn't find it or it took them about a 1/2 to locate it, so by the time I got to take the test I was completely frustrated. Well he suggested that I call the college ahead of time to make sure they had my test ready. Good thinking Cody... I did call the college and found out that it was indeed their Spring Break also. So no test... I called my school and changed my final to the following Monday. I went in and took my test and passed it. So one more class finished. I started studying more of my Math and will take that final in 2 weeks. I then have 1 maybe 2 more classes this semester. It is such a great feeling to have the classes done and behind me. I cant wait till I can say that about my math class...

Climbing in Snow Canyon

Here I am climbing in Snow Canyon. The weather was perfect that day. I am very excited for Spring and Summer.. Lots of nice climbing weather.
